Luke Combs has baby names on the brain!
On September 23, Luke Combs and his wife, Nicole, announced they’re expecting their third child. They shared the news in a joint Instagram post that featured their adorable two sons, Tex and Beau.
In the video, set to Luke’s song “Days Like This,” he and Nicole are seen surprising their boys with sonogram photos of their soon-to-arrive sibling.
The couple shared that they are expecting their little one sometime this winter, but they didn’t reveal an exact due date or the baby’s gender. With the arrival coming up fast, though, deciding on a name has become a top priority.
In a recent interview with Taste of Country Nights, Luke admitted that choosing the perfect name has been a challenge this time around.
Picking one that they both love hasn’t been easy, but he does have a few names he would like to use if he didn’t have to run it by Nicole first.
“Without approval, if I was just wildcarding it, I love the name Flint,” Luke told the show’s host Evan Paul. “It would probably be a middle name. It would be a weird first name, but I
And of course, there’s also the possibility that the couple could welcome their first baby girl, and if that’s the case, Combs has a few name ideas ready.
“For a girl name, I feel like I would go with something old-school — something like Olive,” he said, adding that he prefers names that are “kinda wild.”
“My grandmother’s name was Donna. That’s not a common name either, but I think that would be kinda sick.”
However, all of Luke’s baby name ideas are still up in the air. He joked that Nicole probably wouldn’t go for any of them.
No matter what name Luke and Nicole decide on, fans can’t wait to find out and see even more sweet family moments once their new baby arrives.
