Just saw this wild story. A woman hit what looked like a $43 million jackpot on a slot machine in New York and thought her life had changed forever. When she went to claim it the casino said the machine malfunctioned and voided the win. They offered her the $2.25 the machine actually owed and a steak dinner as a consolation. Imagine seeing that kind of money on the screen then being handed a meal voucher. The whole thing turned into a lawsuit and honestly I can’t blame her. It's good she had solid evidence in winning. Nawp. Malfunction on their end without tampering of the player shall be honored no matter what. They have preventive maintenance for that and 24/7 no blind spot cctvs around the area w/ round the clock security around the casino. It's not the player's fault that it "Malfunctioned". The casino couldn’t accept her win so they come out with a machine error excuse and offered a steak as compensation.. and they saved “$42,949,670 hey should refund all the gamblers their bets also as it a 'human error' Steak dinner seems like an admittance of guilt Casinos have checklists to go over a machine that gives a jackpot. If it passes that there was no tampering done by the customer he has no other recourse but to award the jackpot. Machine malfunction does not void the awarding. The casino has periodic preventive checkups on slot machines to avoid malfunctions. So u mean the players would have kept feeding the machines without knowing it was already malfunctioned until it hit jackpot?? Which means you won't know whether the machine actually working properly or not but keep putting in dime... I would offer a lawyer $3 million to win this case ✋ The mafia isnt going pay her all that money. This sounds like a good legal battle So what was the advertised jackpot for this machine? How did they prove that it was a malfunction? Weird thing is that these machines are really reliable these days..and they recognize if somethings wrong immediately.
