Seven past finalists will act as tutors for Hollywood Week even as the arrangement for that week is being patched up

American Symbol Season 6 on ABC's Hollywood Week starts circulating on April 2 and it will highlight a few changes to the configuration from previous years.

Before the Icon candidates get input on their exhibitions from makes a decision about Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, they will have the chance to sharpen their tunes as they will be tutored by seven past American Symbol finalists, including Justin Guarini (Season 1), Mud Aiken (Season 2), Jordin Flashes (Season 6), David Archuleta (Season 7), Phillip Phillips (Season 11), Catie Turner (Season 16) and Noah Thompson (Season 20).

The news was first revealed by Board, from a discussion with American Icon chief maker and showrunner Megan Michaels Wolflick.

"Having a tutor in Hollywood Week is something we've for a long time needed to investigate," Wolflick told the music outlet. "We for the most part have north of 150 individuals come to Hollywood Week, so it's difficult to have one tutor converse with everybody separately. I thought, 'Who better to guide on the Hollywood experience than individuals who have really had to deal with it.' Jordin Starts generally talks so well about this.
She feels that Hollywood Week truly was an ideal preparation ground for the music business, all heated into that week. There's nobody preferred to coach this week over individuals who have been there, and now that we can pull from 20 years of Symbols, it was amazing. Individuals who returned for this present year were so eager to make it happen."

Be that as it may, having previous Icons as tutors isn't the just changeup. Moreover, Symbol will get rid of the class challenge, meaning hopefuls will not be split into a classification like nation, R&B or pop. Rather, they will have the potential chance to choose a region where they believe they could best profit from instructing.

"This year we gave every one of the hopefuls one of three regions that they needed to chip away at: certainty, songwriting or stage presence," Wolflick proceeded. "It was my test to pick two individuals who might be material for certainty. Earth Aiken and David Archuleta were all out certainty. The two of them came in runner up, and it was amusing on the grounds that when we were first conversing with them about it, they said, 'I actually don't have all the certainty.' I told them, 'Indeed, yet you have more than you accompanied.' For the songwriting classification, we had Catie Turner and Phillip Phillips, who are the two lyricists by their own doing. The two of them in their particular seasons carried an imaginativeness to the show that perhaps we hadn't seen. Also, for stage presence, we have Jordin Flashes and Justin Guarini, two individuals who directed the stage in their own particular manner yet do."

Concerning what last season's victor, Noah Thompson, will do, Wolfick said, "He gave a few persuasive discourses and had the option to discuss his experience from the year before. I can't let you know the number of individuals that tried out this year propelled by him. His companion Arthur marked Noah up [to audition], so we had a many individuals furtively marking individuals up, which was truly cool."

What's more, incidentally, Hollywood Week isn't the main time there will be appearances by previous Symbols. Earth and Ruben Studdard will get back to perform on the current year's finale, 20 years to the day after they acted in the finale for Season 2.
