Jockey Robbie Dolan admits to the Coaches he knows nothing about singing or music, during the Blind auditions for The Voice Australia.
He is already being tipped as one of the rising stars to watch on this season of Channel Seven's hit talent show The Voice Australia.
And now it has emerged that jockey Robbie Dolan has been enduring some family anguish with partner Christine Duffy.
The young couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, two weeks ago, born 15 weeks early on April 10.
Today, Robbie, who The Voice fans will see sing for the first time Monday, gave an update on the health of the newborn, who the couple named Maisie.
'She's doing well,' the pint-sized 26-year-old Irishman said.
Weighing only 670g at birth, Maisie was delivered by an emergency C-section.
Robbbie said it was all a bit of a shock, but the baby was in good care at the Liverpool Hospital.
'It was one of those things that was out of our hands,' he said. 'But she's doing well and she's passing all the tests.'
In just seven days in the NICU the made an important weight gain, putting on 50g.
Robbie, whose family back home has been involved in racing for decades, including his father, also talked about his early ambition to be an actor and singer.
Now a successful jockey, Robbie has lived in Australia for the past six years and said he hopes to find a balance between his two passions - racing and singing.
